Global Village Stage
An eclectic mix of talent will grace the Global Village Stage with spoken word poetry, opera, dance, music and more. Presented by Vanprop, you can find this stage under the tent of Global Village.
Located directly across from the Global Village tents, the following is the schedule for the Global Village Stage:

Colour Our World
Let’s colour the world! Join us under the Global Village tents on Saturday, September 1. Fun for all ages, come get comfy and doodle!
Learn different cultural crafts in the ‘How To’ Cultural Workshops!
Participants can learn crafts including Japanese Bookbinding, Ukrainian Pysanky, and Chinese Calligraphy, and, even better, take home a momento of their time at Richmond World Festival. Find the ‘How To’ demonstrations in the Global Village at the north end of the Minoru field.
Each workshop is first come first serve, has a limit of 10 participants, and lasts 40 min.

Discover the Magic of Pysanky – 12pm , 1pm

Dance like no one’s watching… or at least judging you for your taste in music! Borrow one of our headsets and select the music that speaks to you while you dance it out at our Silent Disco.
Your Kontinent Digital Carnival presented by Cinevolution
Cinevolution presents the Your Kontinent Digital Carnival is back this time for a two-day extravaganza on August 31 & September 1, 2018 as part of the Richmond World Festival.
Through explorations of personal and cultural identity, connection to the land and our ideas about community and home, this year’s Digital Carnival shines a spotlight on LAND, and what that means to us both personally and collectively.
Digital Carnival will highlight the works of local and national artists presenting projects using current media technology, including: performance art and theatre, audio/sound art, video projection, mixed media installations, projection mapping, generative work, shadow puppet theatre, a hands-on workshop and community-based work.
